ACCOMPLISHMENTS

AV Rating by peers through Martindale-Hubbell (Top rating attorney as selected by peers and opposing attorneys)

Webb v. Gittlen, (2008) – In this wrongful death lawsuit Matt pursued the rights of his client through the Superior Court, the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Arizona Supreme Court. Through his efforts the Arizona Supreme Court unanimously agreed the law (which was unfavorable to consumers and favorable to the insurance industry) must be changed. This victory led to a favorable settlement for his client who lost a son due to the negligence of a drunk driver.

State Farm Mutual Auto Insurance v. Connolly (2006) – In this wrongful death lawsuit the Arizona Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Matt’s client (a young girl who witnessed the death of her younger sister). Through this case new law was created relating to Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress.
